Meet Emily Trejo, our new Theatre Tech teacher!:
Hello! I am Emily Trejo and will be teaching technical theatre this upcoming school year. I recently graduated from Brigham Young University in Theatre Arts Education. Theatre has been a big part of my life, shaping me into the person I am today. I love participating in the arts as I feel that it really teaches people how to connect with themselves and others. The creativity it provides benefits all aspects of life. Aside from theatre, I am also involved in music. I own and direct a mariachi band, Mariachi Montes Azules, that travels around Utah playing for different kinds of events.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and escaping into fantasy worlds. Any kind of adaptation on a classic fairy tale is fascinating to me. I love the way an author can spin and find creative ways of telling the same story. I also enjoy going off on ice cream tasting adventures with my husband. Our current favorite place is Brooker's Founding Flavors, highly recommend to anyone who likes yummy ice cream!
